Ich bin Designer, der in Berlin lebt und arbeitet.

I have over twenty years experience in advertising, broadcast television, film, animation, F2P gaming, and branding.

I've run successful kickstarters, started and produced podcasts, and have been a brand ambassador for a bicycle company.

I care about craft, not content.

Imagery and stories have the ability to make the world a more interesting, compassionate and beautiful place. That's the work I want to do.

Kolibri Games

2019 – 2023

As a Senior Brand Designer I built and maintained all visual expressions of the brand, helping to position Kolibri Games as a leader in both the mobile gaming and Berlin start-up spaces.

As part of the Brand Team, I wrote and illustrated blog posts, developed the brand guidelines, wrote and illustrated our onboarding book, produced two seasons of a podcast, filmed and edited company videos, and helped design a new office space.

In my time at Kolibri Games we increased our head count, shipped several successful new games, and were acquired by Ubisoft.

Freelance Motion Design

2013-Present

Art Director / Associate Creative Director, Buster Design

2006-2013

Copywriter / Art Director, Ogilvy & Mather

1998-2005

My client list includes most major US television networks, Dreamworks Animation, Warner Bros. Animation, and dozens of film and television production companies.

I’ve led teams, pitched work, and developed design systems.

I’ve also worked alone, remotely taking project briefs from initial concept to final deliverable.

Starting as a freelance animator, I moved into Art Director and then Associate Creative Director roles.

We did countless network television re-brands and promo packages for everyone from MTV, to Discovery, to Disney TV.

In my first “real job” I wrote advertising copy and learned how the creative sausage got made - how much good work gets killed, and how much of the job is doing the work, versus how much is selling the work. It was an incredibly valuable time.

I also learned that while I “can” write, what I really want to do is “make pictures”.
